How It Works
Every year we welcome up to 6 women who join us for 8-monthly workshops. From the first day to graduation, they learn fundamental baking skills with Martha Collison and receive employability skills delivered by the Sophie Hayes Foundation. Each programme includes 3 key components…
01/
Baking Skills
Each month we teach baking skills including making dough, creating a mirror glaze and allergy-friendly goodies.
02/
Employability
The Sophie Hayes Foundation helps us to deliver CV writing, interview skills, coaching and more.
03/
Self worth and value
A place to offer encouragement and acceptance, learning to value what’s true and important.
We Need Your Help
For every woman accepted on the programme, we have to turn two away. The need to support survivors of human trafficking outweighs our current capacity, but we hope to change that soon.
This year we’re hoping to expand the number of women welcome from 6 to 30, and in 2022 we hope to increase numbers to 60 – we’re passionate about helping as many people as we can.
Thanks to a generous donation to help us set up, we’re now looking for people to partner with us financially, to support the ongoing costs of equipment, staff and trainees.
Please consider standing with us. A donation of £20 per month can make a significant difference.
“Bramber Bakehouse is so different to anything I’ve ever done before, I just love it. The team are very understanding and helpful. Because of them, I am stronger in myself”
