Befriending Volunteer Application

Bramber Graduate

We are looking for kind, caring and committed volunteers to provide regular 121 distance befriending (via scheduled telephone and/or online video calls) to matched graduates of Bramber Bakehouse, increasing their opportunities for social connection, promoting health and wellbeing, self-confidence and independence.

We ask volunteers to commit to approximately 2 hours per week and to volunteer for 12 months.

Befriending takes place between Monday - Thursday 9am to 5pm via scheduled telephone/ online video calls typically lasting between 30 - 45 minutes per session.

Please indicate when you would be available to volunteer (days/ times).

Please provide the name and contact details of 1 reference we can contact to ask about your character, skills and suitability for the role.

Referees must be appropriate to the position applied for (e.g. a manager from a paid work or volunteering role, a college tutor, a support service or organisation).

We are unable to accept a reference from a family member or a friend. 

Please ensure that your own and referee’s contact details are correct as this will prevent delays in the application process.

References will be requested via email automatically after a conditional verbal offer has been accepted.
